在传统上,冬至代表着一家人团圆的节日,也是一个团聚的一个日子,吃汤圆也是代表让一家人可以团聚在一起享受着这一个特别的日子。、



在华人的文化里,通常汤圆都是和家人一起吃。圆圆的碗盛着圆圆的汤圆也代表着在接下来的一年里面一家人可以团团圆圆,万事都圆圆满满。


汤圆是由糯米粉制成,也会染成不同的颜色的糯米粉,每一碗汤圆都是有几个小个的汤圆和至少一个大汤圆

现在的汤圆不只是纯粹由糯米粉做成,而且一些还加入了馅,例如红豆或花生


这一个节日食物也提醒着庆祝者现在年龄大一点,在来年应该表现得更好。 即使在今天,世界各地的许多中国人,特别是老年人,仍然坚持认为,在东芝庆祝活动之后,一个是“一岁以上”,而不是农历新年

在台湾,这种节日食品也用作提供菜肴来崇拜祖先。

Traditionally, the Dongzhi festival is also a time for the family to get together. One activity that occurs during these get-togethers is the making and eating of tang yuan which symbolize sweet reunion.


For many Chinese, tang yuan usually eaten together with family. The round shape of the balls and the bowls where they were served, come to symbolize the family togetherness and everything will smoothly in the coming new year.


Tang Yuan are made of glutinous rice flour and sometimes brightly coloured. Each family member received at least one large tang yuan in addition to several small ones.

The flour balls may be plain or stuffed. They are cooked in a sweet soup or savory broth with both the ball and the soup/broth served in a bowl



The festive food is also a reminder that celebrators are now a year older and should behave better in the coming year. Even today, many Chinese around the world, especially the elderly, still insist that one is "a year older" rught after the Dongzhi celebration instead for the lunar new year

In Taiwan, this festive food also use as an offering dish to worship the ancestors.

From the 1st generation recipe... they are now the 2nd generation pancake maker in their family.



The pancake is quite greasy, savory, sugary (using brown sugar) and the fillings generously filled with the choice of flavor.

To get your heavenly taste, eat immediately off the stove and melts in your mouth. I love the brown sugar taste mix with the peanuts, sweet corn and melted butter

One of my most favorite flavor is Brown Sugar mix with peanuts and WHOLE banana. Goshhh....

Their most famous in the menu is the Dorayaki.. yeah~ the Doraemon's food and the red bean is actually spilled out from the Dora.... (Homemade Red Bean...

Today was a super duper hungry day and after congested in a traffic for 2 hours, finally we decide to have a very Thai style food in Puchong which has been recommended by the member of Foodilifecious

A five stars review restaurant that should give it a try and even they have their own regular customer from Thailand. Chefs were originally from Thailand as well.
To taste the real taste of Thai's Food, then definitely you must come here!!

Thai Green Tea - Is more to like a bubble milk and is delicious
Not to mention, Bottomless Pandan Water is so refreshing

This place is so NEW and they've got pretty interesting food menu. We personally love the overall ambiance of coziness of the place with a little touch up of decoration.
Anson is not only about Kopi & Patisserie but Nasi Lemak, Baked Chicken, Prawn Mee and etc!
Anson don't serve pork and suitable for chicken lover friends.

The rice is fluffy and rich in coconut flavor and the aroma could just stay in your breath.
The chicken is not only crispy but secret recipe in the marination makes the whole plate of nasi lemak mouthwatering.
Anson also serves mouthwatering Nasi Lemak Sotong and Nasi Lemak Rendang Chicken

 Best combination with Longan Tea Special and the tea they used is a only PREMIUM tea.
We never tried it before until we had this~

Miss Sarawak Food?
Sarawak Baked Chicken ~ Using the only Special Sauces all the way from Sarawak
Not everyday you can grab this.

 This reminds us on our childhood moment.
A very "Kochabi" flavor of Prawn Mee
(In Penang, we called this Hokkien Mee)
The prawns were big and very fresh and served perfectly with the sambal.

Yes! Anson is serving this delicious char kuey teow with big fresh prawns and duck egg.
(It reminds our Crew's Childhood: Taking this with a plate of white rice)

The combination of Grill and Fried Gyoza Dumpling
especially for Foodilifecious Crew.
Delicious and delicate gyoza filled with ground chicken and veggie
and the dipping sauce make the gyoza even tasty and yummy.

Rich enough to experience the egg tarts which just melted in your mouth from the moment you put into your mouth.
Those food taster (Not eater) will just close up their eyes and enjoy the smell of freshly baked tart.

Superb rich flavour of "Cempedak" Cake topped with Macaroon was the saving grace, fresh and fluffy cake at the bottom

Fine green tea powder is infused into every layer of the Anson Green Tea Mille Crepe
